It is the closest ski field, within an easy 25 minute drive. – click here to visit the Coronet Peak website.  This is our “local” ski field, when we are in Queenstown we ski here every morning before work (making the most of the easy access and first tracks early morning start).

TIP: Still have more energy to burn? –Try night skiing on Coronet Peak which is available on most Friday and Saturday nights during the ski season from 4-9pm. You will need to purchase a night ski pass to enjoy this experience.

TIP 2: Never seen snow? Coronet Peak is a within easy drive to get your first experience. You can drive yourself there to experience the snow, take a beginners lesson or even take your little ones sledding. If you’re not interested trying snow sports then we highly recommend that you take a gondola up to the top of Coronet Peak to get that perfect pic for your social media selfie.

There are lots of photo opportunities with stunning views over the basin and across to the Remarkables.
